Our own story is woven through the threads of both the elegant tweed and yellow nylon rayon blend yellow dress worn in our October 2021 photo shoot, but also through our relationships with each and every one of you. So, enjoy some photos– the elegant and the occasionally, well, less elegant. Noah Balanda did the autumnal photo shoot in Detroit. He is a champion. Also a good housemate.

Left: Adrianne displays her giant rock that is– i mean– at least six months of salary of a Senior Energy Efficiency Program Manager at the Potomac Electric Power Company ring, a vintage diamond ring that turns 99 years young today. Right: Our two lovebirds stroll across what Nat terms the “Obama Bridge,” so named for its vintage from the glorious era of the ARRA, a pedestrian bridge connecting the otherwise-discontiguous Bagley Avenue in Southwest Detroit.

Left: Another ring thing on the Obama Bridge. Right: Goofing around in the middle of Grand River Avenue, a seventeen-lane thoroughfare that connects Detroit with its most distant suburbs.

Left: Nat and Adrianne sitting on some Can-Am Infrastructure in front of the new international bridge, which will be done approximately in time for their grandchildren to collect social security. Center: “A real photograph and not actually just a screencap from Fallout,” or, “It looks like we’re about to break out and tap dance in front of the industrial decay of the Rouge River.” Right: Nat, as his mother would say, talking just to hear his head rattle. (Nat writes in protest, “I think I was actually singing, though–” which, let’s be real, is equally on brand).
